brewed is a campus dating service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what's needed to find you one thoughtful match a week.
Your campus email (.edu / .ac.in / .edu.in), first name, campus, and the profile details you choose to share (age, year, major, prompts, photos, and matching preferences). We store your photos so a match can see them. brewed has no password — signing in is a one-time code emailed to you.
To create your account, compute your weekly match, keep your chat in sync, and keep the community safe. We never sell your personal data.
Only a person we match you with sees your public profile (name, age, photos, prompts). We never share your email or the private notes in your profile with other users.
Photos you upload are stored on our servers and shown to your match. Removing a photo in the app stops it from being shown on your profile; deleting your account permanently removes your stored photos.
Messages you send your match are stored so the conversation stays in sync across your devices. Only you and that match can read them.
brewed's in-app assistant and photo-based matching use a third-party AI provider to answer your questions, help onboarding feel like a conversation, and tag profile and photo attributes used for matching. To do this, the text you send the assistant and the photos you upload are shared with that provider, which may store and process them on servers outside your country. We don't use them to train outside models. Assistant chats are stored so the conversation keeps working.
We send in-app notifications and email (match drop postcard, reminders, feedback nudges). You can switch off Matches, Messages, Date reminders, and Feedback nudges individually in your profile.
If you report or block someone, we keep a record so our team can review it and keep the community safe.
You can edit or remove profile details any time, leave the matching pool, or delete your account directly in the app (Profile tab → account → Delete account). Deleting your account removes your profile, photos, matches, and messages — this cannot be undone.
